Interview Q/A
1. Hey pepper? How are you doing? Let us start by giving a glimpse of your real life. Please tell us something about you that is not public knowledge.
Oh, not sure! I'm pretty boring and share my life on Instagram. I'm a HUGE animal lover and will do absolutely anything for anything :)
2. What is the greatest thing or person in your life that motivates you to write such amazing books?
It all ranges. I'm very lucky to have inspiration come from all things!
3. I have read all genres from you, dark, contemporary and even a glimpse of the fantasy one. I would like to know that which genre is your absolute favorite to write?
Fantasy for sure! That's my favourite genre of all. But I also love dark romance!
4. You have all these heroes that are so tortured, brooding and downright sinful! It's so tough to choose between them but I am cruel enough to make you do it Who is your favorite hero you have ever written? The one who is closest to your heart.
Oh, I think I love Ren and Q the most but I also love Sully and Jethro! Hard to pick haha
5. Which of your series was the toughest to write?
The Girl and Her Ren for sure.
6. The Indebted series was one of my first dark romance reads and I have been hooked on this genre ever since! So many heroes I have read about but none of them have been able to replace Jethro, he is just something else. I would love to know that what made you write the Indebted series? Something special that have you the idea of this debts concept.
I was in the UK on a book signing event and went to see a old historical trust house called Waddeson Manor. The moment I walked in Jethro and his tale unraveled in my head!
7. Which of your series is the darkest and the most triggering one? Speaking about triggers, what's a trigger or a genre that you won't ever include in your book? Like sharing or maybe incest?
I think it would probably be Indebted for being the most triggering and yes I probably wouldn't do incest.
8. Do you ever put the people you meet as characters in your books?
not really. my characters are themselves and it's hard to make them into people I know in real life.
9. Which was your first book that you published and what was success curve like? Like, did you gain popularity in the book world through the first book you ever wrote or was it a gradual progress?
Tears of Tess was the first book I published and it hit well right out of the gate. But it wasn't the first book I wrote. It was my 6th.
10. I have noticed that you love to write novellas in which all the other characters from your different series make appearances as well! I can't thank you enough for that since small books like that are the perfect closure for readers like me. Can we expect more cameos from Jethro, Q and Sully in the future?
I'll never say never! They're great fun to write
11. What is your upcoming release and please tell us about it.
Souls of Sand and Somke. It's a dark adult fantasy romance and I am in LOVE!
12. Do you read for pleasure? If yes then who are your favorite authors and which genre do you read the most?
Yes I read a lot. My favourite genres are fantasy and historical. My favourite authors are Jean M Auel, Nalini Singh, and so many others!
13. What's your advice to newbie writers?
NEVER give up. Keep writing, keep improving. You never know which book is going to do well. And always jot down your ideas--you never know which is going to be the ONE
14 . Before we finish this up, let's do a quick rapid fire round.
The first nickname you ever had? Peps
Worst gift ever received? Nothing, I'm grateful for all gifts!
Do you have a pet? If yes, then what's your pet's name? Yes, I have six horses and one house rabbit. The rabbit's name is Mo
Favorite food item ? Creme Brulee
