The Dolces broke me, but with perseverance and dedication, Royal has begun to heal me.
He nourishes my body and soul, and if I let him, he might just save me. But I’m not sure I can let him.
After what he did, how can I let myself love again?
But how can I help myself?
Royal may be a broken man, even a monster, but he didn’t become that way overnight. He didn’t get there alone. I was part of his destruction, just as he was part of mine.
And just as he has moved worlds to help me, I must atone for what I’ve done, too.
When he offers me everything I’ve ever wanted, I realize I still have work to do in Faulkner.
That means healing Royal, uniting this town, and bringing down the Dolce empire once and for all.
This time, I'm not alone.
This time, I have allies.
This time, a poor girl from the trailer park might just win it all.
This is the final book in the Willow Heights Prep Academy: The Exile series. If you need TW, this author is not for you. Recommended for readers 18+ ONLY.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD…
Okkkkkk… I read a lot of dark romance and almost 99% I am comfortable with it. No matter what the hero does, I wrap my head around it and adjust. But holy shit, the logic of this book went over my head.
I don't give out many one stars but this time I can't help it. I will list the reasons why I found this whole series so bad. I would also like to mention that I don't mean to insult anyone or the author. It's great that a lot of people like this series but it's not for me. People have choices and there is nothing wrong with that. I will try to be as polite as possible lmao but forgive me if I lose it at some character's behavior because holy hell some scenes pissed me off.
-->> Okk so first let's talk about Royal. He was so very broken after what he went through. He had been raped by the people who kidnapped him and they took away something from him thus turning him into s monster. Now his only aim was to destroy the people who had destroyed him. Not only those people but their whole family. Just the surname was enough for him to make new enemies. I got his reasons, okk? I understand that stuff like that breaks a person and he was somewhat justified.
What I didn't like at ALL was the exact same thing he did to Harper. He knew how much it would break her. Yes she told your secrets, then you should have humiliated her in some other verbal way!! You wanted revenge, well there are plenty of other things to do but doing the same thing that happened with you and then expecting her to forgive you was fucking rubbish. I just can't wrap my head around it. I lost my patience with this series in the last book only but I read this one because I needed some redemption but nope. Even dumber stuff here.
Royal had his brothers rape harper after tying her to a tree and blindfolding her. WTF? Like WTF??? He went through the same thing, is there nothing like Empathy?? How could you hurt someone like that you just loved? Also he was himself willing to kill people to avenge his trauma but the girl was just supposed to forgive his disgusting ass and his brothers. Not only that but she had to live with them and act friendly. I don't think I would have been satisfied with anything other than Royal dying in this series. The most disgusting hero ever. Him justifying his actions just made me want to kill him more.
-->> Now let's talk about Harper. In the third book, Royal so kindly cheats on her because she does not want to forgive him and 'she tells him so'. Then later she takes the blame for his cheating because the poor man was just doing what she had said he should. What a niiceeeee man. So obedient. I wonder where he was when she was screaming at his brothers to stop raping her. He just stood there and watched. Freaking disgusting. And then in this book Harper proceeds to say sorry to Royal for her betrayal and here I was like, bitch you deserved her betrayal and so much more. It's not like Royal and his brothers had been saints to her right from the start. They had always bullied her and then finally broke her. AND SHE FORGIVES THEM.
Now in this book they are one big happy FAMILY that is together to destroy their villains and enemies.
I just… ughhh. Like what the hell? Everything in this series was fine, I have read much darker bully romance and I was ok with it but that scene of gang rape even though the hero went with the same thing, I just can't wrap my head around it. His brothers then tell her that she betrayed them so she paid. SIMPLE. Omgggg. I don't think I have ever been this angry. This series started off great but that ending of book three and the shitshow after it, pushed this one to a 0 star for me.
Definitely recommending you all to never read this series for the sake of your mental sanity. Like I said above, I have no probably with dark and twisted heroes but what I don't like at all are dumb heroine who act all tough and queen like but in reality are the most doormat people ever. That was Harper . She was the supposed queen but she had no spine at all. No wonder she forgave them all. What a nice person. I would have burned them all. I have never read such hypocritical people.
