Plot Summary :
This is King's story. King knows the pain of loving someone who is in love with someone else. He knows the harsh fact that while his cousin's and brothers will make family and settle down , he will always have this in completeness about him. A part of him will always be missing and there is no way he can have that.
A person might be happy that they are marrying the one they love but not him. Because the one girl he loves has always been someone else and if that's not he'll then he does not know what is.
Overall Opinion :
I have been waiting for this! I have read books about unrequited love from the heroine's pov in some books but never the hero, this one was my first and it was refreshing as hell. One thing that Rachel never fails to give is the angst. I could feel King's agony, his pain over seeing his wife, the one woman he would die for, being with someone else. I couldn't help but feel broken for the man because he deserved so much better.
That being said, I won't say that this book was my favorite of this series. The storyline was good and I was hooked no doubt but something was just missing. It was a bit rushed. I wish that the author gave both Del and King time to get their feelings in control. The way Del was in love with someone else, making life promises with them and the next moment King made her burn. The sudden switch made her feelings seem fake for both the heroes.
Also I did not get the guy she was in love with. Like he was ok with her sleeping with someone else. That was so weird. I had a hard time getting over it.
All I am saying is that the book did not touch me the way I expected it to. It's fast and the character development is very small. I would recommend this book to the people who adore and love this series. Reading this book will give you the closure you need because I honestly won't miss a chance to read about my favorite mafia men again!!
