Plot Summary :
Life has never been easy for Mary. She spent her high school days being the weirdo and number one target of all the bullies. Just when she thought she had those days behind her , the number one reason for her nightmares is now her neighbor. And the worst thing is that he doesn't even remember. Doesn't know that she is the one girl he broke. She thought he would change things for her and be the knight she had been waiting for and then he ended up breaking her worse than anyone else could.
Leo doesn't know why the gorgeous neighbor next door hates him. He knows he went to school with her but there is just something familiar about her that calls him. He can't recall any reason why she should hate him but then there is nothing he can do but change her mind when it comes to hating him. If only he could make her see that he has changed too.
Overall Opinion :
Mary and Leo are here! I have read a few books of this series and I liked them but I am a sucker for the second chance romance trope and had to pick this one up. The blurb grabbed me and I could not let go!!
There was also this edge of humor that I loved. All the characters were so comfortable with each and their banter was amazing. Reading this book made me want to read all the leftover books of this series for me and I might just pick them up!
The storyline is good but I expected a bit more angst. I thought there would be emotional damage and all the big reveal , but it was a bit Meh. The blurb gave me an idea of a lot of angst but there was less than I wanted 🥹🤣I feel greedy lmao but still the book kept me hooked and I totally recommend it to all the contemporary romance loving people out there!
