Perry's story is here!
I have loved his character in the other books but let me tell you that the Perry you meet there and here are very very different. He is the most easy going person in general but behind closed doors, he has his own demons and a wife is the last thing he wants or needs but he has one now. Charlotte knows that talking for her husband is wrong, especially one who seems to hate her. This is a battle of wills now as both of them are strong headed and now on is willing to bend. But they both know that the moment they do bend, it will be downright explosive.
This one is book one of the duet and the cliffhanger threw me off. I loved Perry and Charlotte and wanted the second book so bad! Monica Murphy is one of my favorite authors. She does not write very dark romance books but her books are tethering at the edge of contemporary and dark romance and it was the same for this one. Her heroes are the best for sure.
Definitely recommending this new chapter of the midnight dynasty world to all the dark romance, arranged marriage trope loving people out there.
